What a privilege it is to serve God!
In today’s world we often fall on routine and it is easy to become bored with our daily work. Being employed by God is different. He makes everyday special; He has blessings here and there waiting for you to reach out for them, literally! We just have to take one step at a time believing that He is in control!
As you know we have started to work with the orphanage in Callao. In January we hired a psychologist, her name is Gilda, she is a lovely lady with experience working with homes like the one in Callao and she knows about the special needs children have in such homes. We believed that a professional in this area was first priority so we could evaluate each child's mental health and establish their needs and start working with them.
A reorganization of the home has been done and now every child has his/her own bed. The home has 29 children and this is their maximum capacity. The lastest two arrivals had already been in the home before and needed urgently to come back as the problems at home had become more severe.

Even as I write we are seeing blessings come to the home but there is still plenty to do! As you know the bathrooms were priority number one in respect to the facilities. We have now started to tear down the old installations and are putting new pipes and building more toilets and showers both on the first and second floor. But we have not got enough money to buy tiles for the floors and the walls yet. We trust God will supply and maybe He will do it through YOU. Please consider if you would like to take part on this blessing to the children in Callao!
Next step is the kitchen where we want to build new concrete furniture covered with tiles because it is the easiest to clean and can last for years in an institutional kitchen that makes food for aprox. 35 persons each day.
Also we ask you to pray for each child in all the homes that we work with, so that these traumatized children can experience healing of their mind, soul and body.
May God bless you,
Torben & Yurika Kristensen
