God opened a door .... and vitamins poured in by the thousands.

If there is one thing that is true, it is that if you ask God for a favor, you'd better start looking around for his provision, because it is out there somewhere. You never know what venue he is going to use. Our latest story is a beautiful example of this.

Though our jobs we have have been blessed with teaching English to staff at Bayer Perú. As is only natural, students want to know something about the teacher and as we share with them, Por una vida digna para los niños del Perú is one of the first things that come to mind. It is simply natural for us to share what is on our hearts. As we share, students are moved and several have expressed interest in helping. To make a long story short, some of the leaders at Bayer have been touched by our involvement in helping children and decided to bless our work with over 16.000 vitamins.

We are naturally very happy for this donation, because it will be a valuable addition to the food the children eat. In earlier articles we have shared with you how the food is not always very nutritious and rich due to the lack of funds. Vitamins are a great additive to the food, therefore.

We extend our heartfelt "Thank You" to Bayer Perú for this donation. It serves as a beautiful example of a company that takes social responsibility seriously.  It is our hope and prayer that what Bayer has done is only the beginning of what we are going to see happening a lot more here in Peru. Not so much because acting socially responsible is politically correct these days, but much more because it is an investment into the future generation of Peru. Healthy children learn better, think clearer and advance more.

Vitamins is far from the only petition we have put before our heavenly Father. It is going to be very exciting to see what other blessings he has in store. We don't know what blessings, but one thing we do know: We will keep looking around.

As you can imagine, we will be distributing the vitamins to various homes in the coming days. As we do, it will be with thankfulness to God for opening doors and to Bayer for contributing to the health of the children.
